A dialogue between art and structure

The design side table Isidor 1B emerges from a collaboration between Atelier Landon and artist-architect Isidor Bechou. This creation bridges artistic expression and geometric order. Its hand-painted wooden top displays an abstract pattern of intertwined lines and shapes. Because the wood grain remains visible beneath the paint, the surface reveals depth and a genuine sense of craftsmanship.

Balance of form and material

The black steel base, composed of two intersecting arcs, provides support while enhancing the overall lightness of the piece. As a result, the contrast between the firmness of steel and the freedom of the brushstroke creates visual balance. Moreover, the matte finish of the metal highlights the painted details, emphasizing the dialogue between control and spontaneity.

Artisan collaboration and uniqueness

Each design side table is handcrafted in our workshop through close collaboration between the artist and our artisans. This constant exchange allows every piece to feature slight variations in tone, texture, and brushwork. These nuances express the authenticity of the handmade process and underline the individuality of each creation.

Care and longevity

To maintain the painted surface, gently wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Avoid moisture and abrasive products. The steel base should also be cleaned with a dry cloth to preserve its matte finish. Over time, both materials retain their character, while the wood develops a subtle patina that enhances its natural beauty.
