The side table Isidor 2 was born from the collaboration between Atelier Landon and architect-artist Isidor Bechou. Its design draws inspiration from the organic rhythm of nature, combining freedom of gesture and structural clarity. The circular wooden top, hand-painted by the artist, reveals a composition of flowing shapes and subtle tones that recall the graceful movement of leaves and stems. Through its texture and color, the surface captures light in a way that enhances the depth and vitality of the material.
The painted top sits on a base made of patinated brass with two intersecting arches. This structure brings balance and stability while maintaining a sense of lightness. Moreover, the aged gold patina—applied entirely by hand—creates warm, shifting reflections that enrich the brass. The combination of the painted surface and the luminous metal establishes a refined contrast between softness and strength, natural irregularity and precision.
Each side table is handcrafted in our workshop by skilled artisans. They shape and patinate the brass with meticulous attention, ensuring the harmony of the finish and the overall balance of the piece. In addition, the collaboration with Isidor Bechou gives each table an artistic identity, where no two creations are ever identical. Slight variations in tone, pattern, or texture reflect the authenticity of the manual process and highlight the craftsmanship behind each design.
To maintain the beauty of the painted top, simply wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture and abrasive cleaners. The brass base should also be cleaned with a dry microfiber cloth to preserve its surface. Over time, the metal’s patina evolves naturally, deepening its hue and adding new visual nuances while preserving the material’s integrity.
